This course will discuss SWPPP development and specifically how the natural and biological resources on a project site should be considered. The plan to minimize impacts to these resources should be clearly communicated in the SWPPP narrative and depicted on the ESC Plan drawings. This will aid project staff and environmental inspectors in protecting the resources onsite and maintaining permit compliance during the project.

Recognize potential resource conflicts with your project and the permitting mechanisms established to minimize impacts.
Apply skills learned to incorporate resource protections into your project and develop a more comprehensive SWPPP.
Develop a monitoring program that focuses beyond stormwater and takes into consideration the natural and biological resources which must be protected during construction.
