Christina Kranz is a teaching faculty member in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at North Carolina State University. She got her BS in environmental science from Ithaca College. Christina worked for a material science company (Ecovative Design) for several years before getting her MS in soil science from University of Wisconsin – Madison and PhD in soil science from North Carolina State University. She teaches introductory soil sciences courses and conducts research through the Sediment and Erosion Control Research and Education Facility. Her research focuses on sediment and erosion control, water quality, and stormwater management in urban and post-construction soils. Christina has spent many years working with the North Carolina DOT to help improve their bet management practices for soil improvement, She regularly provides trainings and fieldstips Sediment and Erosion Control Research and Education Facility.
